Oil on Wood (with gold and silver leaf)

This gallery has a selection of oil and gold leaf and silver leaf paintings done on native woods from both Crete and North Wales. These woods are sustainably sourced and seasoned. They are a reflection of the environment from which they came.

New Work: (2D & 3D Paintings) 2022-23

These one and two-sided paintings in this first section of this gallery are painted on windfall woods sourced from Bodnant Gardens after storm Arwen in December 2021. I am currently working on more of these as the wood is now completely dry. Also, there are some painted on Olive and Carob woods sourced from Crete which world otherwise have be burnt. The wood takes two to three years to dry, so I am about to start working on the main series of paintings of Bodnant.
